I hate Colorado…worst state for racing besides Wyoming.
I dont know about Wyoming as a whole but I have to jump in here a put in a good word for Big Country Speedway in Cheyenne.
They let the Mini-Cup cars in last year and completly supported the program in its first year. Randy the track owner, Jerry the promoter and Dennis the track manager gave us a break and let us in the gate. 6 of the 15 Mini-Cup races on our schedule this year will be at BCS. While its been a struggle for other divisions to get races scheduled BCS said that we could race any night the track was open. BCS is not like the Kart tracks that are open through the week for practice but all I have to do is call one of these guys and the gate will be open when we get there.
They are almost as good as the people running the CSC 😀

ParticipantThats great to hear. I’m just sick of this STUPID residents who don’t bring any more jobs, “Commerce” haha, or basically any kind of benefit to our state.
NASCAR would bring tons of $$$$….they’re dumb for not realizing this. Oh yea….i forgot, the beautiful sights and smells of commerce city would be ruined forever by those darn race cars right? lol :bs:

Sorry Curt but I’m way behind on posts.
Alaska actually has very good racing. They have a quality drag strip, some pretty damn good sprint car racing, a sprint course that has many frost heaves but is still smoother than Bandi. I’ve raced in 500 mile snowmachine (not snowmobile there) races, the Iron Dog, (week after the iditarod sled dog race on the same course), some wicked a$$ x-country sled races. And more than anything……….. racing from bar to bar with my bro’s on our sleds.
There are more “hot rod” (Stol) aircraft there than anywhere in the world. They have an incredible turnout every year in Gulkana Ak. For the Stol (short take off and landing) Competition. So Alaska has no Grand Prix, Nascar, Nhra etc… But there are hard core races and racers there. And some very full stands for these events.
Anyway, like I said, behind on posts and need make an impact! And you’re wrong again Kistler:cheers:
Later,
Rick

ParticipantYeah, Alaska rocks! They are hard core and do a lot of things at full throttle (not just racing). 😆

Someday I will be as knowledgeable as many of you. Next time I will do more homework.
