The Track at Centennial announces class structure for the 2009 Mile High Challenge club series race season.
December 11, 2008 – Centennial, CO
The Track at Centennial, Colorado’s premier go-kart facility, is pleased to announce our exciting class structure line-up for the 2009 Mile High Challenge. This six race club series will offer classes for racers age five to ninety-five. The one drop series will break the groups of racers into five basic categories:
• Kids (age 5-8)
• Cadets (age 9-12)
• Juniors (age 13-15)
• Seniors (age 15+)
• Masters (age 35+)Racers will have several choices within each group in which to compete.
Mile High Challenge single speed class structure:
• Kid Karts: Comer 50 / Honda 50 Age 5-8
• Cadet: Comer 80, Spec Honda, Rotax MiniMax 9-12
• TaG Jr. TaG USA by weight 13-15
• TaG Senior TaG USA by weight 15+
• TaG Masters TaG USA by weight 35+Racers that feel the desire to change gears, The Mile High Challenge series will offer the following gearbox classes:
• Rotax DD2 16+ , Rotax DD2 Masters 35+
• Spec 125 Shifter 15+ Spec 125 Masters 35+ (15+ and 200lbs. driver weight) S5 (12-15)
• 125 Shifter 15+ (ICC Moto), 125 Masters 35+ ( 15+ and 200lbs. driver weight)For drivers that have the desire to race, but have different engine packages, The Track will run an “Open class” to ensure you have the opportunity to compete. This class will also cover racers where there simply is not enough equipment of similar karts to fill a class:
• Open 15+ (development or “run what you brung”class)
Class splits will be determined by entry counts closer to race day.
Full class rules and regulations will be announced shortly.The Mile High Challenge Races will all take place at The Track at Centennial. 2009 race dates are as follows:
• Race #1 April 5, 2009
• Race #2 May 3, 2009
• Race #3 May 31, 2009
• Race #4 July 12, 2009
• Race #5 August 23, 2009
• Race #6 September 27, 2009

This advanced planning should help our customers to plan their racing schedule for the 2009 season.”

I looked at the TaG USA rules for 2009. If I read it right, it looks like the Easykart 125 is not included. Will this be the case next year for your club series?
I haven’t made a move to choose a package for myself for next year, yet. The Easykart was one of my options. I just need to make sure before I plop down any money.Thanks

I believe that Tag USA has the packages archived on their site.TaG USA has the regulations for heavy drivers.
We will post the “official” requirements soon, but you are safe with your assumptions.
A great holiday gift this year would probably be a transponder (you really do need one to race)

ParticipantJim, Thanks, looks great and I will have two S5’s out for the club races and the racing the rockies series.
As well as a 125 Masters and a Tag JR. CAN’T FOR SOME WARMER WEATHER.
