ParticipantI’m back! After a season off, I am looking forward to a new season of karting in Colorado!
I was wondering a couple of things:
First, whether or not the +200 lb driver rule for an underage driver in TaG Masters will apply at the Track, IMI, and SKUSA MR series. The rules say it is at the event organizers discretion… Does this rule apply at SKUSA Nationals as well?
Second, what races/ series/ rules TaG Masters drivers are planing on running this year. The face of Colorado karting has changed immensely since I last raced, and I was trying to get a feel for what everyone is thinking about doing.

ParticipantWelcome back chase: for this year only we can run an icc pipe with a tillotson carb and front brakes only if you use front drums. :loony:
Just kinding, just follow RMAX rules and your safe, that is what i am doing any way. because tagusa is pointing us in that direction so no radiator on the left side or front brakes or tagcarb kit. GET READY.
SEE YOU SOON.

ParticipantGet used to seeing this helmet, but imagine it from the back side in TaG Masters.

Participantthis is a stupid question guys, but i went absolutley blank.
ARe you alowed to have front brakes in TAG Masters? Maybe I read something wrong, but I saw someone say that you could run front brakes, even though there is no benifit.

ParticipantFrom what I understand they will be legal at IMI and SKUSA races, not at the Track. Still waiting to hear from organizers about 200+ lb drivers…

ParticipantThis is from the TAGUSA 2010 website
BRAKES – Cadet, Junior, Senior and Master class Rear system ONLY.
Front wheel systems are permitted in Four stroke, Shifter and Road Racing
Division ONLY. A dual rear system is allowed. The Thor XT series rear axle brake
systems are allowed.TAG MASTERS ‐ ages 35 and up TAG Master’s drivers must be 35 years of age
before they may compete. A 200 lbs driver may run TAG Masters if he or she is
16 years of age and he or she weighs 200 lbs (minimum) post race on that race
day.
This is solely at the discretion of the club, series and or race director .February 27, 2010 at 2:08 pm #63643Doug Haner

This is solely at the discretion of the club, series and or race director .I would add to that quote that for the SKUSAMR the age requirement for Masters is 30 rather than 35. At least that’s what the handbook they handed out at the IMI banquet says. I know that isn’t the official word though.

ParticipantAny Rotax Max event allows front brakes in Senior and Masters.

ParticipantAll this Masters talk is getting me excited……. the back of Jansen’s head even sounds sort of good at this point.
Just where is it going to be?? IMI,The Track, SKUSAMR,?Masters Rmax events?? I want to do them all, but must control myself.
When I can only choose just one, I have to go with the SKUSAMR thing with hopes of making it to IMI and The Track for some practice some time.
What about you??Will Chase Race them all?
Will Angel’s team or Johnson venture south?
Will Nathan set pole at a track?
Will Gunter’s motors finish?
Will Mark be back?
Will Watkins become a Master?
Will Roman Rome?
Will Craig run DD2?
Will somebody tell Ronnie were racing?
Will Jansen be in the infield?
Will Falcon fly? - AuthorPosts
