Forum Annoucement – Please Read!

Hi all,

I am making some changes on the site, and one item that has been an ongoing issue is user names. I am requiring all of my new users to use a real first and last name as username, so would like to have all of you old timers to do the same. If you could please edit your profile to correct your username to reflect your real name, first and last, it would be greatly apprectiated! It is going to be a requirement for all, so I am asking nicely now that you make the change yourselves.

I am sure I don’t need to explain the reason why this change is required. If you have questions , just email me. Also, if you have problems making the change yourself, email me the info and I can do it, or explain how you can do it.

I’ve never seen a forum that allowed users to change their own screen name. Under “profile” tab and “Edit account settings”, the name is fixed. I may be missing it, but unless you unlock some privileges, the administrator may have to make the changes.

I’d prefer my log on is changed to ‘Jeff Field’

OK OK OK, so nobody seems to be able to change their own. I have selected “allow users to change username” in the Admin panel, but I guess that is not good enough. I will investigate this and change it, if I can. In the meantime….. the rest of the request still stands, if you can’t do it yourself, please email me with the information so I can do it (or post here). I will then send you an email letting you know it is done, as you will have to use your new username to log in. I have the POWER to change or DELETE!!! hahaha!(evil laugh)

Rodney, You won’t lose any of your stats. I am changing it now, so you can use Rodney Ebersole as your username, password is the same. Thanks!
