    80cc shifter… MG reds… no front brakes

all the excitement of 125, without the wear and tear on the kart or body. also much cheaper. motors are $500-1000 and reds last longer than yellow’s.

could be a nice, middle ground between LO and rotax. keep costs down with harder tires, lots of close racing… and it’s fun to bang gears.

it’s also a great developmental class for those wanting to move up to cars someday…

thoughts on trying to form a class for next year? would anyone be interested? apparently it’s made a resurgence in the midwest…

Unfortunately not cheaper. More badass? Probably! Some guys who ran them with success (12-15 years ago) said that for the younger guys at 315lbs, nothing was more fun to drive than those 80cc shifters.

Bilands on a harder tire as a spec class would have been the ultimate step. Those 250cc SOHC parallel twins sounded positively Ducati-like.

Pull start World Formula on Duros!!!! A driver’s kart in every corner.

I second that opinion Leo. Except my preference would be on MG Reds. Better handling with the increase in horse power from the 206.

Yea Eddy I guess after watching KZ2 vids I”m sadistic enough to think the Duros would make it more interesting :taz :redman

Ah Ha, KZ2 racing, very interesting 💡 I’ll have to check out some Vids as well.
