I also feel that if Rotax was a part of the regional series that it would really help the Tag class entries. The shifter classes are some of the best racing I have ever seen already. Colorado and Utah have some of the best shifter pilots in the country and have proven that over and over again.

Well said Stacey. The Rotax Senior/Masters guys already can race Skusa with only a change to MG White tires and I believe masters may have a weight change. If we come out with a schedule that works a little better for the Denver guys (1 or 2 races over here, 4-5 race series) then maybe they will race it. RMPKC does need to add the Rotax to the TaG junior class as a local option, and offer the spot for Vegas regardless of the local engine. Guys would rent an engine for Vegas if it came to it, but they are not going to buy a leopard just to try Skusa out.

If Mini Max is added again as a local option and the Rotax engine is an option for TAG Junior, we’ll definitely commit to the whole series with our two drivers. And maybe even a third…

We’d be thrilled to run both Rotax Racing the Rockies and SKUSA next year along with some PPKRC club events at SBR! Great fun at all those venues this year.

Thank you to all the racers who responded here on this forum, private emails, phone calls and who have pulled me aside throughout the year to express their input.
Also, I would like to thank the various tracks, organizations, clubs and promoters who have contacted me as well.

The 2013 RMPKC / Rotax schedule is as follows,

    Three double event weekends
    May 4th & 5th Rounds 1&2 Miller MotorSports Park
    July 6th & 7th Rounds 3&4 Grand Junction MotorSpeedway
August 31st, September 1st Rounds 5&6 Miller Motorsports Park
2013 Rocky Mountain ProKart Challenge Banquet September 1st (Miller Motorsports Park)

All Rotax classes will be offered.

With the new addition of the Rotax classes and the ability to acquire necessary punches for both the SuperNats and the Rotax Grands, we are going to have the best lap per dollar value ever! Isn’t that is what it is really all about, seat time!

As always, sponsors welcome! (Contact me with your ideas)
    2013 is going to ROCK!!!

    Sincerely,
    Stan C Bryniarski
    RMPKC / Rotax Series Director

Probably should be renamed the Wastach/Western Slope Pro Kart Challenge, Let’s see the WWSPKC.
    Just a darn shame 😕

Members and potential new members / racers.
Let me best set the record straight
The current schedule was created 9-2-2012 At the risk of not allowing other tracks / venues an opportunity to join the series, I called both participating tracks / promoters and expressed my concerns / intentions.
They both agreed to open up the opportunity for other tracks to contact me with the goal to balance out the series geographically.
I posted an invitation (on this site) the opportunity for everyone to contact me. I collected all the input (thank you all) and did what I could in the time permitted. I did receive many responses here, in PMs and personal calls, thank you all for your input.
When I expressed my intentions of combining the SKUSA and Rotax into one series, It was not received well on the Denver side.
Also, if I recall correctly, another series had to make a date change which conflicted with the RMPKC date last year with the assumption that similar classes were not offered so it was not an issue, so why should it effect this year.

My direction was to if at all possible, to release a solid schedule in time for the SuperNats program. I waited until the 11th hour and did so.

My personal goal was to recreate the same last race / banquet event as we did in 2012 at a venue that can accommodate this. This year was an experiment by doing the awards banquet at the last race and I think it paid off in spades. Again, an opportunity for the racer to save a few bucks and participate in the entire SKUSA experience.
Personally, I think the timing of the banquet is the standard for years to come.

As far as the 2013 schedule, I gave everyone a chance to step up. The result, two entities did so and became partners of the series in more ways than just a promoter. They have both stepped up in support of the series, the concept and the RACER!

The 2013 RMPKC / Rotax schedule is set.

Now if anyone out there wants to do a one-off temp race or festival style race, please contact me. But please understand just a notion is not going to get it done.
Nothing is out of the rheum of possibility!
Do your homework, and contact me with a semi solid proposal and I will help you in the direction to make it a reality. Some entities have already contacted me. Lets Get it done! But frankly I will need your help. Lets combine our resources. Lets do it for the good of karting. But please understand that a temp course is not just thrown down overnight (at least one that I am connected with) venue. Dollars to resources to event date is key and this must be considered if we are to venture down that path.

Last, please understand, I am not a Colorado native and have no allegiances other than to the Rocky Mountain ProKart Challenge and it’s customers.
Politics means nothing to me and never will!
Yes I have been a part of SKUSA for 19 years and yes I have seen the rise and separation of Colorado karting. But to best quote one track owner, “We had it all and us the track owners screwed it up!”

I, SKUSA is the series / customer, don’t expect me /us to fix the past, I , SKUSA just want to go forward and provide a place for our customers to race.
My phone is always at my side (219-841-1367) and will take your call and listen to your concerns / ideas. My email address is [email protected] and I will respond to each and every email. Superkarts! USA is a customer oriented business and I am here you YOU the customer.
Perhaps in 2014 (or a well planned 2013 special event) we can once again make SKUSA a total “both side of the Mountain” series
    .
BTW, every race I attended in Colorado lsat year, I flew into Denver and drove to the track. (Goal, save the region a buck)

    Respectfully,
    Stan Bryniarski
SKUSA RMPKC / Rotax Series Director

I don’t blame you, Stan, for the geographic one-sidedness. It sucks for the Denver racers, but it’s the same game we’ve been playing for the last 4-5 years. Nothing really has changed. We have the potential for something amazing, but for whatever reason not everyone will play…its just a damn shame. But hey, i’m used to it by now! :loony: Personally, I just can’t afford to race 3 doubleheader weekends on the western slope in one season, there are many who can and that’s great for them! Now that’s a big shame too, because GJMS and Miller are both awesome places to race. SKUSA is great, the local programs are great, I just wish i could race them all.

I applaud you for being so open and trying to bring everyone together! The fact that you’re allowing Rotax options is great, Rotax is huge out here, it can only be good for the RMPKC. Best of luck, hope I can make at least one RMPKC race this season!

Just some questions on the schedule.

The schedule posted in this thread is:
    Three double event weekends
    May 4th & 5th Rounds 1&2 Miller MotorSports Park
    July 6th & 7th Rounds 3&4 Grand Junction MotorSpeedway
August 31st, September 1st Rounds 5&6 Miller Motorsports Park
2013 Rocky Mountain ProKart Challenge Banquet September 1st (Miller Motorsports Park)

On the website this is the schedule:
    2013 Event Schedule
Rounds 1&2 – May 3-5 -Miller Motorsports Park
Round 3 – May 24-25 -IMI Motorsports Complex
Rounds 4&5 -July 5-7 -Grand Junction Motor Speedway
Rounds 6&7 -August 16-18 -track location TBA

If it is the schedule I linked to I think people will be happy to see a track from the east side of the mountains has been added.

I also have a question about the Rotax in the tag class. Will they follow the Rotax Challenge technical regulations? They changed this year and only allow the 8.5 carb and not allowing the 12.5. I am just wondering if I need to start looking for a new carb.

    Cory,

Check the calendar on this site, I’m maintaining it, and it is quite busy.

It shows the races available at all tracks in Colorado.
