Participant3 races. one at Centennial, one at Grand Junction, and one at IMI. Maybe add PPIR (infield) and give people one drop?

Participant3, Salt lake, Grand Junction, and eastern slope of Colorado.TTAC would be great if you can get them to play.
Can’t see anyway fairer than that schedule, travel for all involved without playing favorites. Oh can you also throw in a reasonable time between the races and the Nat’ls.
It would help alot with scheduling work and fun and costs.
You asked!!

ParticipantDon’t forget that even if a schedule is set it will change at the last minute.

ParticipantI would be in favor of the 4 race weekend with a drop. With 3 being Miller, GJMS, and TTAC. The 4th you have many choices from PPIR, SBR, IMI or a steret venue such as John Bradley proposed. I would also suggest making a more serious effort to include the Rotax and Briggs (CJKC) classes. I know me saying this will upset people but facts are facts. Since here in Colorado both these groups have the most entries at there races. Along with the SKUSA shifter classes if an effort were made to reach out to these drivers you could have larger fields. If you truly want to have a touring Mountain Region Series look at what we have here in Colorado and Utah and adapt.

ParticipantMy vote would be for…….Rotax and Shifters only classes. With races at Miller, GJMS and TTAC.

ParticipantBalance. Since 2012 was run entirely on the western slope, I’d like to see some racing on the other tracks here in CO. Not to take anything away from GJMS or Miller – both are amazing tracks – but that was an enormous amount of travel for a Denver-based racer like myself (and here I am saying that, and I haven’t turned a wheel in anger all year 😳 ). I think for a truly amazing ‘rocky mountain’ series, we should have some races everywhere. We have some great tracks in this region, lets use them!
4 races; TTAC, SBR, IMI, and a finale at Miller/GJMS
How about we take the border war trophy one further, and have the finale at the track that holds the trophy? 2013 would be at Miller, and its up to the CO drivers to take it back and lock in the 2014 finale at GJMS! A possible temp track race would be fun too, but I know those are logistical and financial headaches, so I would stick to the permanent facilities.

ParticipantI like the idea on the border war. It would be cool to see that go to Miller.

ParticipantI still have your onboard shifter video from Miller Greg!

ParticipantI would suggest GJMS, TTAC, Miller, and possibly a 4th race as a temp track such as Pepsi Center here in Denver in the past. I would like to see
Rotax classes added, especially DD2. Adding Rotax would significantly increase the field size, certainly if one race was in Denver.September 27, 2012 at 4:08 pm #65896stacey cook
ParticipantThe SKUSA program is first class Stan runs a great program and does not cut corners even when the turnout was slim.
Next year anyone that wants to get into Vegas will be required to run their regional program so that is going totally change things. Even non U.S. drivers are going to be required I believe. This will bring a whole new twist to the SKUSA regional programs around the country.
I also feel that if Rotax was a part of the regional series that it would really help the Tag class entries. The shifter classes are some of the best racing I have ever seen already. Colorado and Utah have some of the best shifter pilots in the country and have proven that over and over again. Justin with Miller has really stepped up and is commited to making this regional series a success, Miller is a terrific facility and the Utah gang is a really great group of people. The border war will be at Miller next year and after two years of Colorado getting whipped it is time that we take “ALL” our top drivers over there and get that trophy back.

ParticipantRick, I want to see that video! Maybe you can post it on youtube? Can’t hurt to have one of my more “embarrassing” driver mistakes all over the web.

Some fond memories up there that always seemed to attract a large crowd. I just stood on that lot last weekend and it still has our track lay out in rubber on it.
